Apollonia Resort & Spa is changing, not the beach, not the warmth of the welcome, but the spaces around them. Over the past year we’ve begun reimagining our restaurants, lobby and bars, and renovation of our rooms is on the way for 2027. It’s the same Apollonia, the same stretch of Cretan coastline, brought forward into a new era.
Lobby, Reception & Bar
Lobby, reception and bar: new furniture, warmer lighting, and a redesigned marble- and wood-finished bar, for a first and last impression that matches the rest of the stay.
A Warmer Place to Meet
Marble, natural wood, new furniture and warmer lighting create an inviting place to meet from the first coffee to the last drink of the evening.
Restaurants
Adonis, our main restaurant: refreshed with new flooring, wood-panelled dividers and a redesigned buffet.
Al Capone, our Italian restaurant: a sharper, more contemporary garden-terrace setting.
Avocado, our vegan restaurant: a redesigned garden terrace with a signature green feature wall, reinforcing its place as Crete’s first exclusively vegan hotel restaurant.
A New Look for Every Room
In 2027, that same transformation reaches our rooms. A full renovation is planned across our remaining room categories, extending the calmer, contemporary coastal palette already introduced: soft blues, natural woods and warm textures inspired by the Cretan landscape outside the window.

Some things at Apollonia were never going to change. Our private beach on the shores of Amoudara, Blue Flag certified. Our position just 8 km from Heraklion airport. The pools, the gardens, the spa, and the all-inclusive ease that makes a stay here feel effortless.
The renovation is about making all of that even better to come home to, not about becoming a different resort.
